| Mike and Pete Cahoon grew up in the construction industry. They got their
"street degrees" framing in the toughest, high production, multi-family building market
in the country, Texas. They have a very simple principle that is based solely on
" Do the right thing", not necessarily the easy thing to
do... They have been involved in over 115,000 units in the last 32 years. Ranging from rebuilding 3,250 heavily damaged Navy homes in 10 1/2 months at
Charleston Navy base after hurricane Hugo, to helping to build a city from
scratch in Bluffton, South Carolina...
They believe in and have committed themselves to the truss
manufacturing industry. Like most people in the industry, they have seen the ever decreasing skilled labor pool
and understand first hand that the housing future lies in engineered component systems...
They are proudest of working relationships with both clients and employees
(friends) that go back over 30 years in some cases...
Mike Cahoon is currently on the board of directors of the Wood Truss Council of
America.
